Transmission General Holdings Australia – Branding

“It was important that this brand worked in the context of renewable energy, without making any overt references to it.” – Alicia Whetton, Senior Designer.

Client

Transmission General Holdings Australia (TGHA)

TGHA constructs, owns, and will operate electricity transmission assets, specialising in connecting generation assets and load requiring assets to the existing electricity network, such as Victoria’s Mt Mercer Wind Farm.

Challenge

To create a bold and dynamic brand that communicated confidence for the start-up organisation.

Solution

A circular shape is divided into uneven segments to reference the cross beams of a transmission tower, and the multifaceted range of services provided. The angles merge to the top right of the circle, a positive upward direction that also leads the eye to the company name. A missing piece in the centre of the icon creates a window of vision.
